It's almost the new year! Let's look back on this year and see if I've accomplished my goals.
Most of the goals set for 2018 were for my books, and the rest were academic. I aimed to:
Finish editing Our Father and find a Beta Reader. Check! I finished editing Our Father during this past summer and found a Beta Reader shortly thereafter.
Get a 3.5 or above G.PA. each quarter. Check! Kinda. Winter quarter I almost got it. Spring, Summer, and Fall quarters surpassed a 3.5 and almost got a 4.0!
Go to Brazil. Check! I did a five week study abroad program in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in the summer.
Proper outline for 16 years ago. Check! The outline isn't like my usual kind of outline, but I think it still works. I think I worked on it during the summer. My idea was to re-write the story after making a proper outline, but I realized the story wasn't as bad as I first thought it was.
Domain for disorderly-thoughts. Check! It was important for me to have this domain. I wanted it to express my dedication to this blog.
Poetry Book for April Camp Nano. :( I didn't have time during April. That quarter I took six classes, worked on campus, and participated in a club. There was too much going on.
Continue writing Being a Model, rewrite Her War in 3rd person POV, create a proper outline for Down to the Chase and The Other Side of the Mirror. Check? I did add a bit to Being a Model. I did rewrite Her War (which is now renamed Word War 3: Human or Foe?) in 3rd person POV, and I created a proper outline for The Other Side of the Mirror. Down to the Chase was the only story I didn't really work on.
I had a lot of fun this year doing new things, traveling to Brazil, getting awesome grades, and hanging out with great friends. I focused on my mental health and taking opportunities that benefited me. I was more motivated to do my readings and go to class. I was more spiritual and spent my mornings with God. I took things day by day instead of trying to predict the future. I stepped out of my comfort zone and finally, I got the G.P.A that I had been striving for.
I don't have a lot of goals for 2019 only because I'm not sure what direction this upcoming year will take me. There are a few things I know I will work on, like staying relaxed, completing a draft of World War 3: Human or Foe?, and fixing a few things for Illuminate my World. So, Happy New Year to you, and I hope this inspired you to reflect on your year and look forward to 2019!
