Trees Trees, blocking the sunlight
Leaves leaves falling from tall heights
Bitter Wind, Wind, biting my bare skin
White knuckles, knuckles from clutching my violin
I’m on a journey, journey to a place afar
A meeting, meeting with someone named Starr
My mother, father, whom I must find
The life as an orphan, orphan I have resigned
Crack; crack the breaking of a branch
My face, face has become blanch
I turn, turn face to face with a squirrel
Relief, relief, inside me it swirls
Tweet, tweet, the birds sing happily
Nature, nature a place of peace
A picture, picture so serene
Why, oh why can’t my life be like this?
Tears, tears fall down my cheeks
This plan, plan I’ve worked on for weeks
Detective Starr, Detective Starr my only hope
To find, find peace within this hopeless dope
My heart, heart cries out for love
My mind, mind cries out for answers
My body, body cry out for a rest
My soul, soul cry out for a request
To have, have peace at last.
One day I’ll soar to the stars
And find my place in this universe
But until that day I’ll keep my pointed foot on the bar
Only in ballet, does my life feel less like a curse.
In semi-darkness the spotlight is on me
The dress swishing around my knees
To hear them cheer, “Hooray for Marie!”
But when the night is over, gone is the glee.
Lying in my small bed dreaming of going to space
To become an astronaut; it’s bold, but doable.
It’s the Earthly world I’d like to erase.
And my family who’s highly unstable.
A drunken mother and a delinquent father.
An only child I am, in this dreadful place.
There’s no room to scream and pother
Yes that’s why I want to go to space.
I want to be closed from the world below
And open to one above
To the moon I’ll go!
To soar free like a dove.
Oh Isis where are you!
Isis my lovely faery bear
Isis this isn’t fair!
Honey why have you left me!
Oh Honey delightful pixie mouse
Honey that’s just rude!
Misty where have you disappeared to!
Misty my crazy elf friend
Oh Misty stop playing around!
Oh Donny how could you leave!
Donny my cute little dwarf
Donny come back here!
Fiona why did you go!
Oh Fiona my helpful brownie
Fiona you didn’t take your payment!
Sage what has gotten into to you!
Sage my beautiful sea nymph
Oh Sage, have you drowned!
Oh Dazzle you’ve forgotten me!
Dazzle my white as snow unicorn
Dazzle don’t trot off!
I bet we’ve all lost a friend before.
I don’t want to let you go
But I think I have to
Time goes on, so I shall too
We shouldn’t keep hold other back
Let’s wait for the morning sun to shine
Maybe it’ll give us a sign
As to whether or not we’re meant to be
Together or free
And fluttering hearts
Beats like a butterfly,
We must not cry
Today is the day,
That one gets cut in half
Two sullen pieces
Of our broken souls
Please just let it go
Of into the wind
Let it soar to the sun
Never to be seen again
Is it harsh, or is it cold
To do what you think is right
I know, I know
Please just let it go...
He stands there, watching her walk away from him. She doesn’t see as a tear escapes from his eye, letting the wind carry it off with their love. He regrets all the names he called her, all the bruises he gave her. It took him this day, to realize that she was the best thing to ever happen in his life.
A forbidden creation,
Given no chance,
No thought or hesitation,
Even something as simple as a dance.
This lust for one another,
The desire to be in one’s presence,
Throughout the city, it was a bother,
One, they could sense.
How far did they go to fulfill,
What lengths did they take to succeed?
A life stolen by its own will,
Or a well thought out deed?
Into the skies, they were free to be,
United as they pleased.
No strife, no harm,
Just their deep passion finally, taking the lead.
To achieve satisfaction,
They took desperate action.
Die with me,
Let us be,
