what does it mean to be healthy? pt. 3

Spiritual

Picture
Taking care of yourself spiritual is important and an aspect many people neglect. Depending on whether you practice a faith or not, taking care of yourself spiritually is vital. This could be meditation, prayer, talking with people you're close with, etc. This is a little devotional (?) that I wrote several months ago. I am Christian, so this might not apply to everyone, but I wanted to share a little piece of myself in this regard nonetheless. That is what platforms are for. Everyone should be able to share without condemning or insulting each other.

Our spirit is how we reach God. We don’t need to go to a specific building once a week to locate Him because he’s right inside of us. Our spirit is like a phone. We use it to call Him and that’s how he reaches us too. He tries to call us to spend time together, but we don’t answer. Instead, we ignore the call and choose worldly pleasure over Him. Even though our lives are busy, we must leave room for Him. Whether it’s every morning or night, having daily communication with our Father is crucial. At the same time, our spirit is like the fleshly body, we need to nourish it. When we get hungry, our stomach growls signaling us to eat. We also need to feed our spirit by reading the word and talking to God. Joshua 1:8 It’s not difficult at all because God is so easily accessible. Don’t ignore God’s call. He’s our Father, not some foreign being. He created our spirit so we can have a part of him in us. John 14:20/Romans 8:9
