12/28/2019 0 Comments Reflecting on 2019 and goals for 20202019 was a whirlwind. It started off meh and ended with a bang. I saw an Instagram post where a person said it felt like the beginning of 2019 and the end were two different years. I feel the same way! Everything I did in the beginning of 2019 was to get me to where I am now. It was a transitory period that dragged on. It seems so slow until you reach the destination. My destination was law school. I spent seven months working for two different companies after graduating early from college. I learned a lot of life lessons that I will share in another blog. I saved money as well. I'm proud of the goals that were set and achieved in that small amount of time.
A few highlights from 2019 I went to Camp Flog Gnaw last month with some friends. I got apartment. Attending law school. I got a car. Spent quality time with my best friend. Saw my mom during break. Here are the goals I had for 2019: Go to Law School ✔ completed in August Begin new draft/edits of Our Father and finish by December ✔ completed on Dec. 18th Finish Her War (Now called World War III: Human or Foe?) ❌ Contact agents❌ I didn't finish Our Father World War III: Human or Foe "Revise" Illuminate my World ❌ Poetry book or work on another for April Nanowrimo ✔Finished in April Create an Author Website Decided to hold off on this Pass all my classes with A's and B's. We don't get grades until next month 2020 Goals: Post more than once a month Finish Our Father and contact agents Find an agent/publishing house Get a fellowship/internship for the summer or take classes Revise the beginning portion of World War III: Human or Foe? Do a line edit of Illuminate my World in the book Pass my classes with A's and B's. Read the book of John, James, and Ezekiel I hope you wrote down your goals as well. Writing them helps you to remember and keeps you accountable. I look forward to see what 2020 has in store. Happy New Year! *Photo by Crazy Nana on Unsplash.com
